Adventure Outdoor!

Hiking with kids

“Gamification” is one of the four best-practice examples we would like to share with you. Trends show: both youngsters and adults alike can be lured into nature using playful, game-like elements. The digital “Monster” search is probably the most curious manifestation of this at present and one that has also caught the attention of tourism associations. Discovery & Experience are also high on the agenda at so-called Family Camps and “Outdoor Schools”. And the potential is huge. Come and discuss with us about the “Adventure Outdoor! How we move our current guests and tomorrow’s customers...

On 2 September 2016, from 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm in Hall 10, Room 10.1.

You are cordially invited, admission is free! Registration is requested. Welcome and introduction: Birgit Grauvogel, General Manager of the Saarland tourism centre (Tourismuszentrale Saarland) and spokeswoman of Königswinterer Kreis. Hosted by: Christian Schmidt, General Manager of “Sauerländischer Gebirgsverein” and Walter Knittel, General Manager of Donaubergland GmbH.

Expert Forum “Hiking for All – How does
Barrier-Free work in Hiking Tourism?”

Hiking couple
DWV’s expert forum on Saturday, 3 September 2016 (from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm in Room 10.1 of Hall 10) addresses the issue “Hiking for All – How does Barrier-Free work in Hiking Tourism?”

Enlisted as speakers are representatives of “Tourismus für Alle Deutschland e.V.” (NatKo) as well as Rheinland-Pfalz Tourismus GmbH. DWV will present its short-distance but high-quality hiking trails “Wanderbares Deutschland” (hikeable Germany) under the heading “comfort-hiking”. These trails are designed with hikers in mind who prefer short, attractive tracks without any physical barriers such as stairs or potholes but with resting places.

Registration requested via the following e-mail: info@wanderverband.de

Düsseldorf CityInfo: Events Worth Visiting

© Capitol Theater

Verbal sprints and smart nonsense are the name of his game: Tobias Mann talks about politics just as passionately as he does about why the squirrel population in gardens is so high. Experience Germany’s probably fastest-talking comedian on 3 September at the club of the Capitol-Theater.

While at the Tonhalle venue Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra will have two men of conviction in store for you: piano genius Kit Armstrong and conductor Mario Venzago will be opening the Sternzeichen of the new season on 2 September.

When over 500 Düsseldorf artists open their studios you can watch them as they work. Put 3 + 4 September in your diaries when Düsseldorfer Norden will host Points of Art Kunstpunkte – which you can discover on your own or on a guided tour by vintage coach.
